Architecture is
Architecture is....
Irrelevant without people. It is the art of designing the environment such that it affects human lives. It has the ability to alter individual lifestyles as well as entire communities. It is not confined to the common understanding of buildings and structures. It extends to any environment or surroundings that humans come in contact with including landscape architecture, design of a building, city planning or altercations to an existing place to better accommodate the needs of its users. Architecture requires understanding of materials coupled with technology, functionality and social needs over time. Architecture should acknowledge time and create a sense of place. Architecture engages our senses. It is about relationships and adjacencies, it is about scale and proportions. It is brought to life by people.
